8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Registration Themed Networking Breakfast

This session provides an informal setting for attendees to engage in a meaningful discussion over breakfast. The guest speaker will focus on UNSDG 2: Zero Hunger, sharing innovative strategies and case studies that highlight sustainable agricultural practices, food security measures, and initiatives to eradicate hunger in Africa. This talk sets the tone for the day, encouraging participants to think about how they can contribute to a world without hunger.

The official opening of the conference features welcome remarks from the host and key organizers, who will outline the day’s agenda and emphasize the importance of the discussions ahead. This session is aligned with African Union Agenda 2063 Goal 5: Modern Agriculture for Increased Productivity and Production, which aims to boost agricultural output and productivity in Africa. The speakers will highlight the conference’s role in fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve these goals.

A featured keynote speaker will deliver an impactful address on UNSDG 13: Climate Action, discussing the urgent need for climate resilience and sustainability in Africa. The speech will cover the current challenges posed by climate change, potential solutions, and the importance of regional and global cooperation. The speaker will also share success stories and insights into policies and practices that have been effective in promoting climate action across the continent.

This moderated, informal conversation with a prominent leader will delve into African Union Agenda 2063 Goal 7: Environmentally Sustainable and Climate Resilient Economies and Communities. The chat format encourages a more relaxed and interactive discussion, allowing the speaker to share personal experiences and insights into building sustainable communities. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions, making the session highly engaging and informative.

The networking break provides a valuable opportunity for attendees to connect with peers, speakers, and industry leaders. This session supports UNSDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration and partnerships that can lead to innovative solutions and shared success. Participants can discuss the morning’s sessions, exchange ideas, and establish connections that may lead to future collaborations.

A diverse panel of experts will explore UNSDG 5: Gender Equality, discussing strategies and initiatives to empower women and girls across the African continent. The panel will cover topics such as education, economic empowerment, leadership, and social justice, highlighting successful programs and policies that have made a difference. Audience members will be encouraged to participate in a Q&A session, allowing for a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives.

The morning concludes with interactive workshops and breakout sessions that align with African Union Agenda 2063 Goal 18: Engaged and Empowered Youth and Children. These sessions are designed to provide hands-on learning experiences, skill-building opportunities, and in-depth discussions on various topics relevant to the participants. Attendees will have the chance to actively engage with experts, share their experiences, and collaborate on innovative solutions to challenges facing Africa’s youth and children.
